Maungdaw- Two sick patients from Shil Khali, Maungdaw North were brutally assaulted and robbed by police as they were en route to a doctor in Maungdaw town.
Md Hashim and his son Md Malik were stopped at a checkpoint near the clock tower on Sunday. Here the police asked them to produce their NVC. When the two men said they were yet to receive the NVC, the police swooped on them, and brutally beat them up.
The police then kept all their money.
The victims had no money left to see the doctor after that.
