On Friday (24 March) in the afternoon the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) captured Ali Johar with 1 lakh Yaba at Kutupalong Bazar area of Cox’s Bazar.
The drugs were recovered in front of M/S Chowdhury filling station on the north side of Kutupalong Bazar.
Shamsul Alam Khan, Assistant Director of RAB-15 (media and law wing) confirmed the matter on Saturday (March 25) morning.
Ali Johar is the son of Noor Salam of Rohingya Camp-1 in Ukhiya camp.
Shamsul Alam Khan said that based on secret information, Ali Johar was arrested in front of Chowdhury filling station. Later his body was searched and 1 lakh yaba was seized. At that time two more associates of Ali Johar escaped after realizing the raid of RAB. Johar, who was arrested along with two fugitives, has been running this business for a long time.
This RAB officer continued that the drugs and drug dealer Johar has been handed over to Ukhia Police Station after filing a case in this incident.
