Yesterday, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen visited UN Headquarters where he had a meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
During the meeting Dr Momen said it is frustrating that many influential countries have improved their economic and business relations with Myanmar while publicly decrying the human rights violations there.
Whereas, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres’ expressed that, Rohingya criris is now their main concern as the political situation in Myanmar is deteriorating day by day.
The Foreign Minister thanked Guterres for his continued attention to the Rohingya issue. The FM visiting New York to attend two important events at the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
