by Hafizur Rahman. Cox’s Bazar — November 1, 2026

The Rohingya Gen-Z Movement has called for an immediate end to killings and armed violence in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar and urged Bangladeshi authorities to investigate attacks and hold those responsible accountable.

In a statement dated November 1, the movement expressed concern about recent attacks that it said had killed and injured young people, leaving families fearful for their safety.

It condemned violence, criminal activity and human rights violations regardless of who was responsible, saying its appeal was not directed against any particular person or organisation.

“Our message is clear: We are not against anyone; we are against violence,” the statement said.

The movement said differences in opinion, interests or affiliations should never be settled through violence and that no individual or group had the right to threaten another person’s life, safety or dignity.

It called on the Government of Bangladesh and relevant law enforcement agencies to conduct thorough, fair and transparent investigations into incidents of violence and ensure accountability under the law.

The statement did not identify particular attacks, provide a casualty figure or name alleged perpetrators. It concluded by urging cooperation within the Rohingya community to protect lives and improve safety.
