Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, 8 September 2026: A 28-year-old Rohingya man was reportedly found injured and tied with a rope near the Camp 4 Extension Camp-in-Charge (CiC) office on the night of 7 September, according to local sources.
The man was identified as Nobi Hussain, a resident of Camp 4, Block C-1.
Local sources told Rohingya Khobor that Nobi Hussain had been missing for around two days before he was found at approximately 10:00 p.m. near the fence of the CiC office.
According to the sources, personnel from 14 Armed Police Battalion (APBn) found him and arranged medical treatment.
He was reportedly taken to a health facility in Camp 4 for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance, how he came to be tied up near the CiC office, and who may have been responsible remain unclear.
Rohingya Khobor could not independently confirm the incident with APBn, camp authorities or the treating health facility at the time of publication.
