Maungdaw, Arakan State — October 19, 2026. Rohingya residents of Dargyizar village in northern Maungdaw Township have reportedly been ordered by the Arakan Army (AA) to leave their homes by October 31, according to Rohingya Monitor.
The outlet, which identified the village as Dha Gyi Za, cited local sources as saying AA personnel delivered the verbal instruction during the first week of October and threatened consequences for anyone who failed to comply.
Residents expressed concern about the belongings they might have to leave behind and whether they would be allowed to return. They sought an explanation for the relocation and assurances about their property and safety.
Rohingya Khobor could not independently verify the reported order. The available information does not establish how many households are affected or whether any families have already moved.
The report did not include a response from the AA or the United League of Arakan concerning the alleged instruction or arrangements for residents’ return.
