On late Tuesday night (20 September) some miscreants attacked the night security guards and started stabbing one Zafar, resident and mazee of camp 18 in Ukhiya. He breathed his last on the spot and two others received serious injuries.

A Rohingya from camp 18 told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that at late night some persons wearing masks came and attacked the camp security after they (unidentified persons) were asked their identity. Due to indiscriminate stabbing and shooting, a Rohingya mazee, Zafar, died on the spot and two got severely hurt, one of them is now in Chittagong Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

Another Rohingya under anonymity said, “Zafar who has been killed in recent attack was also shooted by Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) during the six murder in a madarasa of camp 18 earlier last year. and Zafar witnessed it.”

The general refugees believe that the attackers were the members of ARSA, as the miscreants targeted Zafar during attack.

The acts of Zafar’s funeral prayer has been done after autopsy completion.
