The Imam and Muslim Scholar Molavi Alhaj Ziaul Hoque of Sittwe Jamai mosque has passed away today at 12:50 AM local time at the age of ninety-one.
The late Molovi was the chief Imam of Sittwe Jamai Mosque and was known as the head Imam.
Molavi Alhaj Ziaul Hoque was born in 1929 in Kyauktaw. He served as the mosque imam for 60 years and he was fluent in several languages.
His relatives and friends requested prayer (DOA) for this great scholar and Imam.
