Two Rohingya men were arrested and tortured from Mein Gee Si, Buthidaung.
Hafizur Rahman and Sufian were arrested by the Tatmadaw on Tuesday.
The arrested men were taken to the Tatmadaw camp and severely beaten up. They were then asked to divulge the name of all Rohingyas who had relatives abroad or those who were financially better-off. Unable to withstand the torture, the two men gave a list of 113 well off people.
Tatmadaw forces later took them to the village on Wednesday evening and released them.
Following the incident, a tense atmosphere is prevailing in the village.
