Cox’s Bazar — October 10, 2026

Two Rohingya residents were reportedly injured in a knife attack following an alleged family dispute in Camp 4, Cox’s Bazar, on Saturday, October 10.

According to information received by Rohingya Khobor, the incident took place in Block C of the camp and involved people reportedly connected through family relationships.

One of the injured men was identified in the initial report as 23-year-old Sirazul Islam, a resident of Camp 4. The identity of the second injured person has not yet been confirmed.

The initial report named 19-year-old Shoriful Islam, also a Camp 4 resident, as the alleged attacker. However, Rohingya Khobor has not independently verified the allegation or established his role in the incident.

Both injured people were reportedly taken to a BRAC health facility in Camp 4 for treatment. Their injuries and current medical conditions remain unclear.

The circumstances leading to the reported attack have not been established. Initial information suggests that the incident involved a dispute among relatives, but the nature of the disagreement and the relationships between those involved remain unconfirmed.

It is also unclear whether the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) or camp authorities have received a complaint or taken any action.

Rohingya Khobor is seeking further information about the incident, including the identities of those involved, the condition of the injured and any official investigation.
