Since the Eid holiday period, several children and family members have gone missing from the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.

Since the Eid holiday period, several children and family members have gone missing from the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar. We urge the community, camp authorities, UN agencies, and NGOs and INGOs to help locate them immediately.

GOOD NEWS, CHILD FOUND

Afifa, daughter of Asiya, from Leda Camp 24, has been found in Cox’s Bazar and is currently safe in police custody. Her family is requested to contact local authorities immediately.

STILL MISSING, PLEASE HELP

APPEAL TO EVERYONE

To the community Please share this message in every group you are in. If you see any of the missing children, do not take them away. Call the listed contact number immediately. Alert the nearest camp authority, police, or protection officer. Please watch carefully around water areas, markets, and roadsides.

To UN agencies and humanitarian organisations UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, and all other UN agencies: Please activate child protection emergency procedures and support families in active searches. All NGOs and INGOs: Please assist with search coordination and provide psychosocial support to affected families.

If you have any information, contact the family using the numbers above or report to your nearest camp protection officer immediately.
