Today early morning the locals of Alaudding Bazar of Mohammedpur in Noakhali captured four Rohingyas including a woman who escaped from the Bhasan Char shelter and handed them over to the police.
The detained Rohingyas are- Mohammed of cluster No. 57 of Bhasanchar Asrayan Kendra, Nasir Ullah (20) son of Yousuf, son of Zakir Ahmed of cluster No. 64, Rajamia (18), son of Saleh Ahmed of cluster No. 64, Jannat Ullah (20), son of Zakir Ahmed of cluster No. 71, Moniruzzaman (35) and daughter of Nur Mohammad of the same cluster.
Charjabbar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Dev Priya Das said they escaped from the Bhasan Char shelter through a broker on Monday morning. Upon receiving the news, the police arrested them from the spot and brought them to the police station.
They have been sent back to Bhasan Char Shelter.
