This morning terrorists shot and killed a Rohingya head (Majee) named Shofi Ullah (40) at Balukhali camp in Ukhia, according to locals.
The incident took place at Balukhali Camp 8 East at 10:30 am on Monday. Deceased Shofi is the son of Mohammad Siddique of Block-B/32 of Camp 8/E. He was the head of that camp.
It is known that his brother was sitting next to the house on Monday morning and Shofi was shot suddenly during indiscriminate firing by unknown assailants. Later, when he was taken to the hospital, the on duty doctor declared him dead.
ASP Farooq Ahmed, Assistant Director (Media) of 8 Armed Police Battalion said that the situation was brought under control after receiving information about the incident. Police are working to reach the killers and even added more that the body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
