Eyewitnesses have reported police loading corpses on to a truck at Hainda para, Maungdaw North.
The exact destination or the identities of these corpses are unknown, but there are unconfirmed reports they might be taken to bases in Maungdaw town and buried discreetly. The identity of the corpses and the circumstances in which they died also remains a mystery.
The government has a record of minimising death tolls. Till date, the international media is reporting a death toll that is smaller than what our correspondents and sources throughout Arakan are reporting.
Earlier, at least seven civilians, including a child was killed during a military raid in Hainda para.
Meanwhile, there are reports that a mass grave with ten corpses have been discovered in a Muslim cemetery in Kanyin Tan Myoma on Monday. The same day, three unidentified corpses were discovered in Kayuk Pyin Saik, Maungdaw North.
