On Wednesday (26 October) China’s ambassador Li Ziming to Bangladesh said the Rohingya issue will not be solved in “American or European methods.” It should be solved in “Asian ways.” He also added that China is working silently to solve Rohingya issue.
He said this at meeting with the organization of diplomatic correspondents in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Li also said that Myanmar wants to start the repatriation of Rohingya once the ongoing conflict stops and under favorable conditions. The military junta gave such a message to the Chinese ambassador in the country.
He said, “Pressure from the West will not help to solve Myanmar’s problems in any way. At the same time, we should try to solve the problem bilaterally. Because repatriation is the solution to the Rohingya issue.”
