On Tuesday, A virtual meeting between Saudi Arabia and the UN’s special envoy for Myanmar assured that the Rohingya crisis will be addressed effectively as soon as possible.
Saudi Arabia’s permanent representative to the UN, Abdallah Al-Mouallimi, and the UN’s special envoy for Myanmar, Christine Schraner Burgener, including representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Contact Group on the Rohingya Muslim Minority had conversations on the latest developments in the humanitarian situation and discussed how best it might be addressed, taking into account the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
