On Sunday around 8 pm, 7 members of Nur Alam were found lying unconscious on the floor at Kutupalong TV tower camp in Ukhiya. Nearby refugees rushed to the spot and informed the matter to camp authority, who took them to MSF hospital with an ambulance.
A refugee from the camp said that they found a plastic bag full of fruits, drinks, and water bottle inside victims’ home.
The locals believe that someone came to victims’ home with fruits, drinks, and water bottle, where roofies were mixed. However, the family members took the fruits and became unconscious. In the mean time the strangers left the scene looting the valuables including gold ornaments.
A tense situation is prevailing around the area.
