Two ARSA members shot dead at a gunfight with police in Ukhia camp

On Friday around 9:30 pm, two active members of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) were killed in a shootout with the police at B-40 block of Balukhali 8-East Rohingya camp in Ukhia Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar.

The deceased are Salim Ullah (33) son of Mohammad Noor alias Yunus resident of B-24 Block of 8-East Rohingya Camp and another bodies could not be identified.

“On Friday night, 40 to 50 miscreants attacked Mohammad Rafiq, head of the 8-East camp.” Upon receiving the news, the members of 8-APBn arrived in the place of incident, where ARSA members started firing the APBn”, a Rohingya said who declined to be named.

“At this time, the police fired 73 rounds and the terrorists started running away. Later, two dead bodies along with weapons and ammunition were recovered from the spot,” another Rohingya said

The Rohingyas claim that the deceased people are active members of ARSA.

Later, police took the bodies and sent them to Cox’s Bazar morgue for autopsy.
