Rohingyas return home after being abducted for 24hrs

On Saturday around 3:30 pm, 6 Rohingyas returned home within 24 hours of the abduction in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. 

Confirming the news, Md Abdul Halim, who is Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station stated that Rohingyas are abducting each other whenever they get involved in disputes over money transactions. 

Later, these incidents become publicized as abductions, he added.

The following Rohingyas who returned are – Md Faroas, Md Juhar, Md Noor, Nurul Haque, Jahid Hossain and Md Idris.

Among them, Md Juhar claimed to have returned after the payment of Tk 6 lakh in ransom.
