On 19 September 2022 (Monday) morning locals saw a dead body floating near Kaulkhali Ghat of Kay Kay Para in Teknaf and police recovered the body and took the body away to Teknaf police station after being informed.

Seeing the star mark and “Allahu Akbar” written on the arms of the unidentified body, the local eyewitnesses told reporters that many people believe the body was killed in the ongoing war between the Myanmar military and the Arakan Army in Rakhine and floated in the Naf River.

Locals said that the body appeared to be that of a Muslim man and it could be a well-planned conspiracy against Rohingya Muslims as always. And they believe that the military or Arakan Army killed the person first and floated him in the river wearing AA’s cloths to avoid liability and even to defame the Rohingya with the intention of re-brutalizing them.

Officer in Charge (OC) of Teknaf Model Police Station, Hafizur Rahman said that the body has been recovered after receiving information, legal measures are underway.
