A fire broke out at a hospital operated by BRAC in Block C of Camp 4 in the Rohingya refugee camps on Tuesday afternoon.
According to initial reports, the fire started at around 12:30 PM and may have been caused by an electrical short circuit inside the hospital building.
Emergency response teams and local community members responded quickly and managed to bring the fire under control before it spread further.
No deaths or serious injuries were reported.
Hospital authorities said an assessment of the damage is underway and that the exact cause of the fire is still being investigated.
The incident has renewed concerns about fire risks in the densely populated Rohingya camps, where electrical faults and closely built structures have previously contributed to similar emergencies.
