Cox’s Bazar, November 25, 2024: Noor Boshor, a respected Head Majhi (community leader) from Camp 2W, Block D5, passed away suddenly on Monday evening, leaving the refugee community in shock. While the initial reports suggest a heart attack as the cause of death, allegations of poisoning have surfaced, casting a cloud of suspicion over the tragedy.

According to Noor Boshor’s wife, her husband may have been deliberately poisoned during a visit to a local shop earlier that day. “He went out for a coffee, and that’s where it all happened,” she tearfully recounted. “He came home feeling unwell, and his condition deteriorated rapidly.” Noor Boshor passed away at approximately 8:00 PM.

Local authorities, including camp police and health officials, are investigating the incident. As of now, no confirmation has been made regarding the allegations of poisoning.

Noor Boshor was a prominent leader in Camp 2W, known for his unwavering dedication to the welfare of the refugee community. His sudden death has sent ripples of grief and concern throughout the camp. Residents have called for a transparent and thorough investigation to uncover the truth.

“We have lost a good leader,” said one community member. “If there was foul play, justice must be served.”

The refugee community is now awaiting updates from the ongoing investigation, with many urging authorities to act swiftly to ensure accountability and prevent further incidents of violence or sabotage within the camps.
