On Friday night at around 8 p.m., the police have recovered bodies of two Rohingya dead children from a canal at Hakimpara Camp, Cox’s Bazar. The deceased were identified as Anowar Sadeque (7) and Anowar Faisal (6) who were siblings and sons of Abdus Salam, Hakimpara Refugee Camp-14.

On a statement, Mohammed Hamid Mazee of Block-16 of Hakimpara camp stated that on Thursday morning both Anwar brothers went to Hakimpara playground and due to heavy rainfall a sudden landslide carrying a massive amount of rainwater swept them away. Their father, Salam, looked for them everywhere till Friday when their bodies have been found by the police.
